DREW DEER

INSTRUCTOR

Drew began wrestling at the age of 8. Struggling to stay committed and passionate as a younger wrestler, he left the sport until his freshman year at Highland Park High School, where he found a renewed sense of dedication and joy for wrestling. After high school, Drew continued his wrestling career at Itasca Community College where he became an NJCAA National Qualifier and Academic All-American. He then transferred to NCAA D-III Cornell College where he finished his wrestling career and education. After graduating in 2024, he returned to Highland Park as the assistant coach for the Highland Park High Schools Girls Wrestling team.

After graduating, Drew started training at Cornerstone with goals to compete in MMA. Having a strong base in wrestling, he is currently refining his jiu jitsu and submission grappling skills and building his striking repertoire to become a strong force in the Midwest MMA scene. He regularly competes in jiu jitsu across the country and is currently a blue belt under Professor Alexandre Molinaro.

As both a competitor and a coach, Drew embodies the values of a true teammate: always committed to helping his training partners improve and gives them unwavering confidence on and off the mats.
